Sustainable Development Goals 1 and 10: No Poverty · Reduced Inequalities
Poverty alleviation is a stated focus of the Nigeria chapter, whose programme centres on rural communities of the Federal Capital Territory.

UTA has held Special Consultative Status with UN ECOSOC since 1995, participates in sessions of the Human Rights Council, and convened Libya, Italy and Nigeria around a tripartite cooperation arrangement in 2023.

The Sustainable Development Goals were adopted by all United Nations Member States in 2015 as a shared blueprint for peace and prosperity.
